Question 1AIf the Colorado Single Payer Health Services Plan is introduced in the next session of the Legislature, would you support it?
Answer 1A:Yes
Comment 1A:Colorado currently has 750,000 uninsured citizens that need a basic Single Payer Health Services Plan to protect their nealth needs and adequate health care.

Question 1BWould you support other legislation that works toward development of a comprehensive single-payer health services plan in Colorado that would replace reliance on the commercial health insurance industry??
Answer 1B:Yes
Comment 1B:I think a blended plan that could be phased in over time would be financially feasible. The 750,000 uninsured need a state supported health services plan while thos of us that can continue to provide for ourselves and our families should continue to do so.

Question 2:Do you believe the state of Colorado has an obligation to provide relief to its citizens in areas such as health care when the Federal Government is unable or unwilling to do so?
Answer 2:Yes
Comment 2:We have the obligation, but I am not sure we have the funding source to "go it" totally alone. As a State Representative I would move to explore and investigate successful single payer universal health care plans that are affordable.

Question 3:Would you support a resolution calling for our Colorado Congressional delegation to support legislation that encourages states to serve as laboratories for the nation by developing new and creative plans for health care?
Answer 3:Yes
Comment 3:This "incubator approach" would be extremely important to me as a State Representative. Creating new health care plans that meet the needs of all citizens is a very complex undertaking that could be very costly to the citizens of Colorado. "Laboratories to the nation" is a creative and necessary step.
