Musicians to Voice Support for ColoradoCare in "Concert for 69"
Mercury Café Hosts Free Concert with Top Local Performers as Ballots Land
Natalie Tate and Strawberry Runners are teaming up to offer a free concert Thursday, October 20 at the Mercury Café, to raise awareness among younger voters about ColoradoCare, a Medicare-For-All type universal health care system for residents of Colorado. ColoradoCare is on the November ballot as Amendment 69. Local favorite DeVotchKa is also contributing merchandise to give away at the event.
WHEN: Thursday, October 20 at 7:30 p.m.
WHERE: Mercury Café, Jungle Room, 2199 California St., Denver 80205
WHAT: Concert to raise awareness for ColoradoCare. Free and open to the public.
“There's a lot of untapped energy among young voters who would benefit tremendously from Amendment 69,” said Owen Perkins, Director of Communications for the ColoradoCare campaign. “We’re grateful to these talented local artists and the Mercury Café for shedding light on the historic significance of ColoradoCare.”
ColoradoCare would give every Coloradan in the state equal access to comprehensive health care without deductibles or insurance premiums. It would save Coloradans $4.5 billion in costs for health insurance.
