I’m on Medicare. If ColoradoCare is enacted, would I be subject to the 10% payroll/non-payroll tax to support it? If so, why should I be forced, on a fixed income, to pay for something that I will get no benefit from?
I am a 20 year old full time student who grew up Colorado, but I’m attending college in another state. I’m currently on my parent’s healthcare policy (they work in Colorado.) If Amendment 69 is passed, would I be able to remain on my family’s healthcare plan?
Let’s say I dislocated my shoulder, (this happens frequently) what do I do? Can I go anywhere? Is there a co-pay? Will I get charged for x-rays? Will I get charged for the doctor to pop it back in place? What about prescription medication? Also how will preventative care work? Will this take care of dental and vision?

My husband and I have insurance through his out of state employer. Would we end up paying for both ColoradoCare AND the employer managed insurance?
According to the amendment, the board of ColoradoCare will be allowed to receive “gifts” from pharmaceutical and medical device companies. Isn’t this a huge conflict of interest and corruption at it’s core.

How does this plan work for Federal Employees and retired Federal Employees who already may have better health care than ColoradoCare can offer? The Federal would seem to take precedence, but it would still be an additional 10% tax on the retirees?
Are Medicare-eligible military retirees exempt from Colorado State income tax increases associated with ColoradoCare?

I have an employee that is on Medicare and has his supplemental being paid by the US Postal Office as a retiree, does he as an employee and me as an employeer still pay the withholding of 10% ? If so, it does not seem fair to either one of us.
1) If I’m travelling out of state or out of country and get sick, will I still be covered?
2) Do you expect employers to lower wages to handle their portion of the income tax?
3) What about employees of Colorado companies who don’t live in state?
4) If there is a funds surplus at the end of the year? Will that money get returned to tax payers or used in the state general fund or kept in a lock-box for a rainy day?
5) If there is a funds deficit at the end of the year, how will the state pay for it? Will money be pulled from the state general fund?
6) Would capital gains be taxed? What about rich or retired people who have no income but lots of capital gains?

Exactly what are the provisions for out of state care? Non emergency care. Medicare with a medigap policy provides full coverage anywhere in this nation with little or no out of pocket costs. ColoradoCare, I think, would be a major step backward from that kind of coverage.
What income tax rate will individuals who work for out-of-state employers, or out-of-country employers, pay? I’m talking individuals who work remotely for an out-of-state employer, or commute out-of-state, or out-of-country for work purposes, but reside in Colorado and pay Colorado income tax for the full year.
Will they pay the additional 3.33% on their payroll income, like all other regular CO employees? Or will they be responsible for paying the full 10%, including the portion typically paid for by CO employers?
