The proposal says a 10% income tax will be in place to pay for the plan. Of that, 7% would be funded by employers and 3% by an employee. Q: Is that for the entire household or is there a different amount paid for the employee than what is paid for the rest of the employee’s family? 2) How will people who are not able to work or who have a low income pay into this plan? Is it the same cost of 10% for all or do some people making less than a certain amount not have to pay or have an adjustment to how much they pay?

How will Colorado set payment schedules for treatment? How will doctors and hospitals be compensated? Will the state take over hospitals and employ the doctors, such that they are protected from malpractice and the state can control costs?

Will Coloradoans whoare on active duty or who have military pensions that provide Tricare be exempt from these taxes? I will not support this measure unless I am exempt from all taxes related to a Single Payer system as a military retiree. Alternatively, I will leave the state.

My husband asks, is this an income tax increase or a dedicated payroll tax?

I have lots of questions. Sure hope you get your FAQs published soon. I live outside of Colorado and in fact outside the U.S. but file a Colorado tax return because I have a rental property there. I used to live there. Will I be taxed? If so, how? Will I be even eligible for the universal health care? And what if I return to the U.S. to visit but don’t go to Colorado and had to go to the emergency room. Would your system pay my bill? That’s even assuming I were eligible. Let’s say I DID still live in Colorado and went to Kansas to visit and had to go to the emergency room. Would I be covered in Kansas, or is it only good in Colorado?
i am currently on Medicare for which I pay each month. I have a $0 premium Medicare Advantage plan as my supplement. It appears that if Amendment 69 is passed, I would have to pay an additional $1000/year for ColoradoCare based on both my W-2 income and my none W-2 income. Why should I support ColoradoCare if it is going to cost me extra money?

What is the coverage for Colorado residents when they travel and/or live out of state for a period of time? Colorado has a lot of snowbirds and seniors who travel extensively. Telling them they will have only emergency coverage out of state is completely unacceptable (especially when they currently have full coverage out of state).

will Tricare member who work in Colorado be required to pay the new tax?
How would this law affect unionized employees in Colorado? Employees who automatically have insurance payments deducted from their paychecks? Would would those deductions cease or would the employee have to renegotiate the contract?
My physician currently takes no insurance whatsoever (he doesn’t have to, he is that good). I have to individually file claims with my PPO policy and be reimbursed. With Colorado Care, will all physicians be forced to participate? Or will I be reimbursed (and if so, how much)?
We are 50’s, self-employed, low income. ObamaCare has given us health ins at a cost of under $1000/yr for both of us, $1200 out of pocket and 0 deductible. What would your plan cost us?
I’m all for single payer, but the state budget is already a disaster. How is the state going to pay for this? If taxes are going to be raised, then I would like to know which taxes specifically and whether the overall tax strategy will be progressive.

How can we be sure that this won’t stifle small business growth and entrepreneurship in Colorado? Is there a floor for the number of employees or an exemption for less profitable small businesses?

How does doctors compensation for services provided compare with the compensation they receive from private insurance companies? Will it be similar to Medicaid/medicare levels?
Current “health” insurance (it’s really disease insurance) covers chiropractic, acupuncture. Will this continue to be covered? Your “Plan” lists it but has question marks associated with the listing.
I live in Colorado but work from home for an out of state (actually multi-national) company. Would Colorado care cover me? How would it effect my employer? Would it supplement or replace my current (not very good) health insurance?
How will this work for self employed individuals and their families?

I have a health savings account from my former employer. I must select a Medicare plan they select. There is no additional cost. If I don’t, I will not qualify for this $3000.00 health account.

i am a retired senior. I make about 45,000 a yr. How much will my taxes go up?
Will Registered Midwives be included in ColoradoCare’s system? I small for single payer, and the counties that have the best maternal outcomes are the countries that have midwives running the labor and birth. They also integrate homebirth, birth center, and hospital birth into seamless transitions. RMs are legal providers in Colorado, but we are not covered by Medicaid and private insurance doesn’t always want to pay us. Midwives save the healthcare system money and should be included in any changes to the system.
The proposed legislation states that taxes will increase for families and there will be adjustments in the payroll tax. How much will taxes increase to pay for the plan and how much will an average family save with a single payer system?

If it’s more expensive to do business in Colorado won’t Colorado have less business?
If Colorado has less business won’t there be less jobs?
But I’m retired and not on Medicare. Will I get free healthcare?
